1. How do I know if the Eye Champion Program will help my child?
Click here to go the 10 Second Test page, you will see a list of signs and symptoms. If your child has ANY of these signs, this program will be of benefit.
2. How do we get started?
We will provide a comprehensive Vision Therapy Evaluation. This will include much more than the basic ‘20/20 sight test’. Our examinations will cover Convergence, Eye Tracking, Eye Focusing, Lazy Eye, Visual Information Processing and Reading Fluency.
3. Can we use the Eye Champion Program at home and in office?
YES. This is one of the major advantages of this program. Most of the therapy is done using FUN 3D programs at your own home!
Sessions are only 5-8 mins each and only 4-5 times per week. In office sessions are generally required weekly or fortnightly.
4. My child has 20/20 sight, could they require vision therapy?
YES. Over 80% of the child’s learning comes through their eyes, so ANY vision problem can significantly impact their reading and school performance.
A child can have perfect ’20/20 vision’ but still have a difficulty with Eye Tracking, Convergence or Visual Processing. These then affect the child’s school performance.
5. How quickly will my child improve?
Significant improvement should be experienced in as little as 3-4 weeks.
The program is usually completed in just 4-6 months.
6. My child has 20/20 sight, so are the eyes perfect?
Maybe not. Most of our vision therapy patients actually have better than 20/20 sight!
Vision therapy treats eye muscle weakness and visual information processing,which are NOT detected in a regular 20/20 sight test.
Take the 10 Second Test. If you notice any of these signs your child may benefit with vision therapy.
